In relation to the Riverside Project and the Minister’s media release on 20 September 2011 stating that on completion, the Riverside project will provide 3,400 new dwellings and more than 80,000 square metres of retail and commercial space to the area, I ask:
(a) what are the expected dates for completion of the first 1000, then 2000, then 3,400 dwellings;
(b) what is the expected date for the occupation of the last of the 80,000 square metres of retail and commercial space;
(c) what is the status of negotiations regarding the development of Gloucester Park, given its inclusion in the 40 hectares; and
(d) when will the first of 1,700 workers touted on the East Perth Redevelopment Authority Riverside website begin employment from a completed Riverside building?

a) The sites of the first 1000, then 2000, then 3,400 dwellings are located on land held in both State and private ownership and as such final delivery will be subject to developer time frames.
In July 2009 TRG completed 42 residential dwellings across a mixture of three storey townhouses and three to four storey apartments.
Western Australian developer Diploma Group has recently been announced as the builder for Stage Two of Queens Riverside. QIII, a $100million, 26-storey residential tower of 265 apartments is expected to be completed in January 2014.
b) The expected date for the delivery of the last of the 80,000 square metres of retail and commercial space is subject to private developer timeframes.
c) Future development of Gloucester Park is provided for in the Riverside Master Plan. Questions regarding the status of negotiations should be directed to the owner, the West Australian Trotting Association.
d) The first of the 1,700 workers are expected to begin employment during 2012, upon opening of the Frasers Suites on Adelaide Terrace.
