I refer to Legislative Council
estimates hearings last Friday relating to contact between Department of
Premier and Cabinet director general Peter Conran and the Insurance Commission
of Western Australia chief executive officer Rod Whithear over insurance claims
involving the member for Vasse.
(1) On what specific dates was there
contact between Mr Conran and Mr Whithear on this matter?
(2) For each date
outlined in (1), was the nature of the contact by way of face-to-face meetings,
telephone calls, telephone messages or emails?
(3) On what
specific date did Mr Conran convey to Mr Whithear his view that the member for
Vasse should pay for the damage to the member for Vasse's vehicle?
(4) On what date
did DPC receive the claim form enclosed with Mr Conran's 29 May 2014
letter to Mr Whithear?
(5) Was the claim form outlined in
(4) signed and dated by the member for Vasse personally?

I thank the member for some notice of this question.
(1)–(2) The department has been
asked to provide this information in one of the supplementary questions asked
by the Standing Committee on Estimates and Financial Operations at its 2014–15
estimates hearing held on Friday, 15 August 2014. The department is still collating
this information and will provide a response to the committee. A copy will also
be provided to the honourable member. The member does not need to put that on
notice; as soon as the information is available, she will receive it.
(3) As best the director
general can recall, on or around 16 April 2014.
(4) 21 May 2014.
(5) Yes.
