RELOCATION
239. Hon PETER COLLIER to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Sport and Recreation:
I refer to the redevelopment and
potential relocation of the State Tennis Centre.
(1) Has the
minister or any ministerial staff or any officers from the Department of Local
Government, Sport and Cultural Industries met with any members of the board or
staff of Tennis West since 1 July 2023?
(2) If yes to
(1), when was the meeting and who attended?
(3) If yes to
(1), was the redevelopment and/or potential relocation of the State Tennis
Centre discussed?
(4) Is the
relocation of the State Tennis Centre to Whiteman Park being considered by the
government?

that the minister and his staff attended on 14 February 2024 at the invitation
of Tennis West included a presentation by Tennis West on its ideas for
redevelopment or possible relocation.
(4) The
Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries is working
alongside Tennis West to undertake a business case that is considering the
current and future infrastructure needs of the sport.
