I ask a supplementary question. How does the Premier explain giving a higher priority to this vote-buying exercise than to providing money to enable Mrs Lomas and more than 1 000 other people to have surgery? Dr G.I. GALLOP

Under the Labor Government, $800 million more is going into the health system than went in under the Liberals. We will work to ensure we continue to improve our health system. That is what we are doing. The intervention on the part of those opposite indicates how poorly they view the Royal Agricultural Society and how poorly they view rural and regional matters. We have provided strong support to the Royal Agricultural Society through our international program. China’s Yunnan province was involved in the first program. The German Government has also been involved, and the Tuscan Government will be involved this year. We have worked hard with the Royal Agricultural Society to ensure that it delivers an improved service for the people of Western Australia. The member for Mitchell is letting down rural and regional Western Australia with this question. We are out there promoting regional and rural Western Australia and, at the same time, expanding the opportunities for our youngsters to attend that wonderful event called the royal show.
