The Department for Child Protection and Family Support’s (the Department’s) budget is not allocated to this specific level of detail.
The Department does provide translation and interpreting services to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) clients and aspects of its website has been translated into 26 languages other than English. The Department’s actual expenditure (excluding GST) on these services is as follows:
(a) $182 933.72
(b) $173 522.81
(c) $121 921.37
(d) $185 679.89; and
(e) $98 600.71
*2016/2017 expenditure is up to 31 May 2017.
Department of Local Government and Community (Community Services)
(a-e) Within the Community Services portfolio, for the financial years specified there was no expenditure related to language service delivery.
