(b) The Joint Steering Committee on Local Government Sustainability has been established to provide advice on measures that will enhance the sustainability of Western Australian local governments including the implementation of actions included in the Western Australian Local Government Association's (WALGA) Sustainability Report.
(c) The establishment of the Committee was announced on 15 October 2008 and held its first meeting on 7 November 2008. The Committee is scheduled to complete its work by December 2009.
(d-e) Ms Jennifer Mathews, Director General, Department of Local Government and Regional Development.
(f - h) Existing Departmental resources will be utilised.
METROPOLITAN CEMETERIES BOARD
(a) Nil.
(b - h) Not applicable.
HERITAGE COUNCIL OF WA
(a) One.
(b) Review of the Heritage Council of Western Australia
(c) Commenced 9 December 2008, with a draft report to be submitted April 2009
(d-h) The review of the Heritage Council is being undertaken under Section 10 of the Public Sector Management Act 1994. The Premier, as the responsible Minister, will be responding to questions on the specifics of the review.
