Referring to recent media reports on the high profile fear of run-off from Eucalyptus Nitens forest plantations poisoning drinking water in Tasmania, I ask -
(1) Is Eucalyptus Nitens grown in Western Australia?
(2) If yes to (1), -
(a) how many hectares are planted with this species in Western Australia; and
(b) is the Minister concerned about toxic run-off from these plantations?
(3) If yes to (2)(b), what is the Minister doing about these concerns?
(4) If no to (2)(b), why not?
