I refer to the McGowan Labor Government's decision to cancel the Roe 8 project, and ask:
(a) how many contractors were involved with the Roe 8 project;
(b) of the peak on-site workforce of 440, how many have been redeployed to shovel ready road projects, and to which projects; and
(c) of the total on-site workforce of 3,360 over the full duration of the project, how many will be redeployed and to which projects?

(b) : The “peak on-site workforce” figure quoted in the question does not accurately represent the number of contractors available for redeployment to other projects. As per the answer to (a), of the 251 people employed by the Alliance at the time of Roe 8 project suspension, 197 have been redeployed to the following projects: Roe 8 Rehabilitation Armadale Road Upgrade Wanneroo Road Widening Project development for the Armadale Road to North Lake Road Bridge; Karel Avenue Upgrade; Kwinana Freeway Northbound Widening and the Wanneroo Road / Joondalup Drive Interchange. Of the remaining 54 employees, 12 resigned and 42 were contracted security personnel who provided site security or casual support to police during construction. (c): The “total on-site workforce” figure quoted in the question includes forecasted indirect employment expected to be created by the Roe 8 project. As the project was cancelled, the actual number of contractors available for redeployment has been provided in question (a).
