(d) if yes, what is the duration of the contract(s); and

MINISTERIAL OFFICE
As of 1 January 2010 the Government Media Office ceased to operate in a move to streamline decision making and coordination across portfolios. As part of these changes responsibility for daily Media Monitoring Services for Ministers and some government agencies has been transferred to the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
DEPARTMENT OF SPORT AND RECREATION
Yes
(a) Media Monitors (it should be noted, however, that this service was terminated in May 2010 and has not been replaced)
(b) The cost of the contract depends on the number of news articles generated - see question (c) for indicative amount.
(c) $31,109.71 between 1 May 2009 to 21 May 2010
(d) On a year by year renewal basis (the contract was not renewed in May 2010)
(e) This was negotiated under the previous government
VENUESWEST

(a) Media Monitors are currently providing media monitoring services.
(b) There is no contract. Media monitoring engaged on an ad hoc basis.
(c) $1947.28 has been spent on these services between 1 May 2009 - 21 May 2010.
