BARROW ISLAND — TRANSLOCATION OF ENDANGERED MARSUPIALS
I refer to the translocation of endangered marsupials from Barrow Island to make way for the oil and gas industry. (1) How many animals were translocated to Cape Range National Park? (2) Has the minister been briefed on the results of this part of the translocation? (3) Can the minister confirm that all the animals that were translocated to Cape Range have been killed by foxes? Hon DONNA FARAGHER

(1)–(3) I thank the member for the question. I will have to take some of that question on notice, given that I do not know the exact number off the top of my head. I have received follow-up advice on the translocation across all areas. I understand that a couple of animals have died as a result of predation; however, certainly not all of them. I will undertake to get more information for the member.
