In relation to the Government's spending of $250,000 on pictures of pelicans and Elizabeth Quay promotional material, I ask:
(a) did the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority advertise the public consultation for the Perth Waterfront Development which closed 5 June 2012, for:
(i) Design Guidelines; and
(ii) Scheme Amendment;
(b) if so, how much money was allocated to the advertising;
(c) did the Department advertise the public consultation for the Perth Waterfront Development which closed in March 2011 for Metropolitan Regional Scheme Amendment 1203/41; and
(d) if so, how much money was allocated to the advertising?

The $250 000 budget for the important public information and marketing campaign for Elizabeth Quay is a separate matter to the statutory advertising requirements for scheme amendments.
(a) The MRA undertook public consultation on the Redevelopment Scheme Amendment and draft Elizabeth Quay Design Guidelines. This included direct mail to 1887 surrounding landowners, media releases, electronic media and newspaper notices.
(b) $2 842 was spent on newspaper and Government Gazette notices.
(c) The Department of Planning undertook the public consultation for the Metropolitan Region Scheme Amendment.
(d) $15 624 was spent on newspaper and Government Gazette notices.
