In relation to the Greenough Regional Prison (GRP) riot and subsequent escape, I ask: (a) At what date and time was the Minister first provided with a briefing on the incident: (i) What date, time and form (i.e. over the phone, email etc.) did this briefing take and who was it made by; (b) At what date and time was the Minister provided with his first "face to face" briefing on the incident: (i) What date, time and location did this briefing take, who was it presented by and who was present in the briefing (job titles only); and (ii) Were any subsequent briefings held, if so, on what date, time, location and who by; (c) On what date was the Minister's first visit to GRP organised; (d) When (date/time) did the Minister visit GRP and for how long did the inspection take; (e) What time did the Minister land at Geraldton Airport and what aircraft was used to get there; (f) Who picked the Minister up at the airport and drove him to GRP; and (g) Did the Minister stay overnight in Geraldton or return to Perth: (i) If he stayed, what accommodation was booked, for how many people and at what total cost; and (ii) If he returned to Perth, did the aircraft in use stay at Geraldton airport or was it operational for other flights?

(i)  Minister Logan was first informed by the Chief of Staff by phone at 7:21PM AWST and made the decision at that point to return immediately to Perth. The Minister was subsequently briefed by the Acting Director General by phone at 7:37PM AWST.

(ii)  Thursday 26 July 2018 6:15PM Ministerial Office.  Present were Department of Justice staff, Chief of Staff, Senior Policy Advisor and Senior Media Advisor. He was also continually updated as the situation progressed
