On behalf of the Leader of the House,
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
Staff
from the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage have been in continuous
written and verbal communication with the individual and her daughter on
her behalf for many years. Department staff provided updates to each of the
landowners during the passage of the Wittenoom Closure Act 2022 through
Parliament and provided ample opportunity to work with the government during
the process. Considering the individual has now left the property voluntarily,
and because of the high volume of contact over the time period mentioned, it is
not considered to be a reasonable or appropriate use of government resources to
provide this information.
