public non-financial corporations — net debt
I refer to the balance sheet for the public non-financial corporations in the 2008-09 budget papers, which shows their net debt rising from $6.904 billion in 2007-06 to $11.985 billion in the coming year, and further rising to $15.022 billion over the subsequent three years. (1) Will the Treasurer identify those corporations that are the top six contributors to the $5.081 billion, or 73.6 per cent, net debt increase in only two years from 2006-07? (2) Will the Treasurer table Treasury’s list of all non-financial corporations showing their net debt position from 2006-07 through to 2011-12; and, if not, why not? Hon KATE DOUST
