(a)-(b)
The Smith Street Build-to-Rent project is part of the State Government's pilot Housing Diversity Pipeline (HDP) to transform the former Stirling Towers public housing complex in Highgate into Western Australia's first affordable Build-to-Rent project.
The Cook Government recently announced the consortium comprised of Community Housing Ltd and Tetris Capital as the proponents to undertake stage one of the redevelopment, which will see the demolition of the existing derelict towers and the finalisation of design development.
The State Government is continuing to progress significant redevelopment and renewal projects like North Beach that were neglected for years under the previous Liberal-National Government. The State Government will make a further announcement on the Smith Street Build-to-Rent project in due course.
