minister representing the Minister for Housing:
I refer to the media statement of 17 February 2014 concerning
the shared home ownership scheme arrangement for Pelago East apartments in
Karratha.
(1) On what date
was the decision to undertake a shared home ownership arrangement for Pelago
East apartments first made?
(2) What was the
original number of apartments proposed to be available under the program, and
what is the current number?
(3) Is a similar 60–40 split
shared home ownership arrangement available elsewhere in Karratha?
(4) What is the
government's involvement in the one-bedroom units and three studio
apartments that will be available to be purchased at their full selling price?

(1) 18 June 2012.
(2) Originally
approximately 20 per cent of the 50 units purchased by the department were to
be made available through the government's SharedStart home loan.
Nineteen properties are now being offered through SharedStart.
(3) No.
(4) The government owns all 29
properties that are for sale.
