(1) Will the minister confirm that the Railway (BBI
Rail Aus Pty Ltd) Agreement Act 2017 in the recitals states —
A. The
Guarantors and the Company are investigating ... a railway from the PIOP mining
area .... to within the proposed Port of Balla Balla ... for � iron ore

(2) Is the
mention of PIOP included as an example or option, or does it specifically refer
to the Pilbara iron ore project of Flinders Mines Ltd?
(3) Is PIOP the only mining operation mentioned in the
Railway (BBI Rail Aus Pty Ltd) Agreement Act 2017?

Innovation advises the following.
(1) I can confirm that the Railway (BBI Rail Aus Pty
Ltd) Agreement Act 2017 in recital A is correct, as quoted.
(2) It is not an
example or an option. The PIOP mining area is defined in the agreement. These
areas of mining act title are currently held by Flinders Mines Ltd.
(3) Yes. However,
the proponents have the right to submit additional proposals to expand the SRL
Railway with a spur line to other mines in the Pilbara region.
