803. Hon KATE DOUST to the Minister for
Commerce:
I refer to the home builder Kameleon Homes and the investigation undertaken by the
Building Commission.
(1) How many subcontractors have not
been paid to date by Kameleon Homes?
(2) What is the
current status of the investigation into the complaint made by Mr Roland Laverack from Ceil-Fix Pty Ltd?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question.
(1) The Building
Commission monitors individual payment matters when they become the subject of
a complaint or adjudication claim lodged under the Construction Contracts Act
2004. The Building Commission undertakes general monitoring activities by
observing court actions and matters raised in the media or on social media.
(2) There is no
record at the Building Commission of a complaint being lodged by Mr Roland Laverack from Ceil-Fix Pty Ltd.
