In relation to the Joondalup police district, can the minister advise - (1) Since the opening of the Clarkson police station, how many additional police have been - (a) allocated; or (b) actually assigned to the district? (2) When will further additional police be provided to the Joondalup police district? (3) Since the opening of the Clarkson police station, have there been any occasions when the Joondalup police station had insufficient officers on duty to enable both the staffing of the station and the sending out of officers from the station to attend to reports or to conduct patrols? Additional staff to the Joondalup police district will be considered in that review. (3) Yes. (4) On 21 May 2000 between 11.50 am and 1.50 pm - two hours only - Joondalup station was closed due to a number of suspect offenders being interviewed. On 15 July 2000 between 12.20 am and 12.35 am - 15 minutes - Joondalup station was closed due to an offender being interviewed.
