(2) The proposal will follow the planning procedures required for the development of leases on land vested in the Conservation Commission of Western Australia. (3) Consideration of issuing a lease is subject to my approval of the activity as a compatible operation. If that occurs, the Conservation Commission of Western Australia will need to be consulted over the lease/development proposal and I as Minister will need to approve the lease for the development to occur. Any other statutory planning and environmental approvals that may be required will need to be obtained by the developer. (4) This issue will be assessed if the proposal proceeds to the planning stage. (5) Any petition received will be considered along with all other submissions to the compatible operations notice. (6) I am not aware if the proposed developer has considered other sites. The grant funds awarded to this project by the Commonwealth Government relate to the Diamond Tree site. (7) Yes. (8) Comments and input from the community including neighbours will be sought during the planning stage. (9) It is premature to seek public comment on the development proposal because the activity is still to be approved as a compatible operation within Sir James Mitchell National Park. (10) The lessee of the facility.
