(a) when will the program become operational;
(b) how many young people will be able to be accommodated at the Driscoll Drive site at any time;
(c) will the program be available to both males and females;
(d) will the program include the provision of other services to young people in addition to the provision of accommodation;
(e) if yes to (d), what other services will be provided; and
(f) which organisation will operate this program?

The Department of Justice advises:
a.
The Youth Transitional Accommodation Program (YTAP) is not yet delivering services to young people as the Department has been considering alternative options for the Driscoll Drive site. This program is about to start very soon.

Under the current service agreement, YTAP will be able to accommodate up to five young people at any one time.

Under the current service agreement, YTAP will include the provision of:
a day program based at the YTAP property for those young people who are yet to be placed in an appropriate education/training/employment placement.
Coordinated day support services to ensure young people engage and attend various activities set out in their case plan
Support for those young people transitioning into longer term accommodation placements.

Hope Community Services were awarded the service agreement for provision of services for YTAP.
