1-4) The following table provides the assaults reported by schools. Central data collection only began on 24 July 1998 and information is only current to 8 November 2001. Information provided about stress leave and medical attention probably under-represents the actual incidence, as schools do not always report this as part of an incident report, and it was found to be difficult to correlate workers compensation data with incident reports from schools.
