REGIONAL STAFF VACANCIES
979. Hon STEPHEN DAWSON to the
Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to departmental staff vacancies in the Pilbara,
Kimberley, goldfields–Esperance and south west regions.
(1) What was
the number of vacancies in the Department for Child Protection and Family
Support for each of the listed regions on 1 November 2013?
(2) What was
the number of vacancies in the department for each of the listed regions on 1 December
2013?

The total number of vacancies for the Pilbara, Kimberley, goldfields–Esperance
and south west regions as at 1 November and 1 December 2013 were: the Pilbara,
including Hedland, Karratha and Roebourne, 11.7 on 1 November and 11 on 1 December;
Kimberley, including East and West Kimberley, 5.2 on 1 November and 8.7 on 1 December;
the goldfields, including Esperance, 7.9 on 1 November and 5.4 on 1 December;
and in the south west, 5.4 on 1 November and 4 on 1 December. The total
vacancies were 30.2 on 1 November and 29.1 on 1 December.
