I refer to the Department of Corrective Services Annual Report for 2012–2013 and its confirmation that the Serco Escort and Recording System (SERS) has been deployed by Serco enabling ‘close monitoring of the prisoner during the period in which they are under Serco’s care and supervision’ and ‘automated feeds from the Department’s Total Offender Management System (TOMS) ensures all transport requests are fed through to SERS to be actioned by Serco’, and ask: (a) using SERS and the Department’s TOMS, how many prisoner transfers using charter aircraft were conducted during FY 2012–2013, for each of the following: (i) attendance at funerals; (ii) transfer from a remote community for the purposes of executing a Warrant of Commitment; and (iii) what was the total cost of each of the services supplied under sub-paragraphs (i) and (ii); and (b) using SERS and the Department’s TOMS, how many prisoner transfers using charter aircraft were conducted during FY 2013–2014, for each of the following: (i) attendance at funerals; (ii) transfer from a remote community for the purposes of executing a Warrant of Commitment; and (iii) what was the total cost of each of the services supplied under sub-paragraphs (i) and (ii)?
