(1) Will the Minister provide, in line with the Government’s commitment to open and accountable Government, a full and unedited copy of the Mott Inquiry Report as commissioned by the Director General of Education?
(2) Was the Mott Inquiry a full and comprehensive review of the processes associated with the appointment of senior staff in the Department of Education post February 2001, or was it only an interim review of the associated issues?
(3) If the Minister is not committed to open and accountable Government and will not provide a copy of the report will the Minister provide the reasons for wanting to cover-up this important issue?

2. Neither. 3. On 29 May 2002, I made the following comments in the Legislative Assembly: 'People gave information to the inquirer, Mr Mott, a former detective. That information was given on the basis that it would remain confidential. I have no intention of breaking that confidentiality'. I maintain that position.
