(1) Can the
minister confirm that there is a team at Main Roads WA working on what is known
as stage 3 of the Perth Freight Link—that is, from Canning Highway to
Fremantle port?
(2) Can the minister please outline the process underway to
plan stage 3 of the Perth Freight Link?
(3) How many are involved in the team that is working on this
at Main Roads?
(4) What is the time line?
(5) Can the minister please describe the concepts currently under
consideration?
(6) When will this work be made available to the public for
consideration?

Main Roads has been and is still investigating various options for crossing the
Swan River and duplicating or replacing the bridges. This includes all the
necessary assessments needed.
(3) Around three to four Main Roads staff, in addition to
their other duties.
(4)–(6)
It is intended to provide a submission to Infrastructure Australia later this
year. Consultation with the public will be undertaken as part of the further
project development work.
