I refer to all Boards that are under the responsibility of the Premier’s portfolio. Can the Premier please advise, -
(1) Who was on the Board as at 23 September 2008?
(2) For each member in (1), -
(a) when they were appointed; and
(b) when did their appointment cease?
(3) When were redundant members informed that they were not to be reappointed?
(4) Was the member informed in a timely manner?
(5) By whom was the member informed of the redundancy?
(6) Which of those redundant members received written notification that they would not be reappointed?
(7) How were the other redundant members notified?
(8) Who is on each Board as at 2 March 2010?

(1) The information the Member requests is not currently available for all boards and committees, although work is underway to develop a database of such information. If the Member has a specific request relating to an individual board or committee member, more information may be able to be provided at that time.
(2-7) Board appointments/reappointments were made by the responsible Minister, and Departments notified in due course. Appointments are made for specified terms with new appointments being made to ensure that advisory boards are able to provide contemporary advice. The appointment of new members from time-to-time brings different skills and experiences to the board. Board members whose term of appointment expires are formally notified of re-appointment or non-reappointment. Redundancy is terminology that applies to an employment relationship. The majority of board members are not public sector employees.
