Burswood Park motorplex
330. Hon Amanda Dorn to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer the minister
to the proposed Burswood motorsport facility and associated infrastructure
works within the Burswood Park precinct.
(1) Is the minister aware of concerns that the
project will destroy important wetlands and threaten habitat critical to native
species?
(2) Has an environment assessment been undertaken
to determine the impact on flora, fauna and bird migration pathways?
(3) Will the minister commit to pausing the
project until proper consultation with environmental conservation groups and
traditional owners has occurred?
