(1) 2 - Wheatbelt Drainage Council and Interdepartmental Coordinating Committee (IDC) - Water Law Reform which includes Government departments, the Water Corporation and Water Boards.
(2) Mr Hendy Cowan is the chair for the Wheatbelt Drainage Council and
Mr Paul Frewer, A/Director General, is the chair for IDC.
(3) The Wheatbelt Drainage Council has a running period of two years. The IDC has been running for 11 months, and is planned to continue until December 2008, when it is expected the new water legislation will be completed.
(4) The annual budget for the Wheatbelt Drainage Council is $159,100 and the total budget is $306,200. There is no formal budget assigned to the IDC. Funding for incidental expenses including catering and venue hire, is from the Legislative Reform Branch budget. Current expenditure is approximately $2,000.
