I refer to identity scanning systems (for example Nightkey and idEye) installed at licensed premises, and I ask -
(1) What procedures or protocols exist to guide police when seeking access to personal information that has been collected by an identity scanning system?
(2) Are these procedures or protocols in writing?
(3) If no to (2), why not?
(4) If yes to (2), will you please table a copy?
(5) How is compliance by police with these procedures or protocols monitored?
(6) What training or other information is provided to police regarding the nature and extent of Federal privacy law obligations of organisations from which police may be seeking information?
