(1)(a) The Shire of Dandaragan has agreed to transfer the vesting of Reserve No. 39468 to the Conservation Commission of Western Australia. Re-vesting awaits the completion of consultative processes with relevant State Government agencies and public utilities.
(1)(b) The Shire of Gingin has decided to retain the vesting and purposes of Reserves Nos. 257 and 40239 (Gingin Brook Road) and Nos. 17949 and 21473 (Moore River Point), and adopt management strategies to protect tuart trees and associated understorey.
(1)(c) Additions of State forest containing tuart to Yanchep National Park (about 2,074 hectares), Yalgorup National Park (about 2,095 hectares) and Ludlow Tuart Forest National Park (about 90 hectares) are proposed as part of a package of changes to implement remaining land tenure proposals in the
Forest Management Plan 2004-2013.
Consultative processes to implement these proposals are nearing completion.
(1)(d) The 1,000 hectares of high conservation value tuarts at Neerabup occur within Neerabup National Park. Past forest management plans had proposed that this national park be reclassified to a conservation park. The retention of the national park's status was reviewed in the preparation of the
Forest Management Plan 2004-2013
. Consistent with the commitment to protect areas containing high conservation value tuarts, the national park status has been retained.
