❓ Hon Simon O'Brien questions the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure regarding development approvals for the Blue Bay Motel site in Halls Head, specifically concerning the Western Australian Planning Commission's (WAPC) role and the Peel region scheme (PRS). The Minister confirms an earlier approval exists but hasn't been submitted to the WAPC, and that WAPC approval is indeed required.

BLUE BAY MOTEL SITE, HALLS HEAD - DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL
Notice of this question dates from 25 October. I note that the second application for redevelopment of the Blue Bay Motel site at Halls Head has not been dealt with by the Western Australian Planning Commission within 60 days and is therefore under the Peel region scheme deemed refused. (1) Is it the case that another, earlier development proposal has been approved by the Mandurah city council which is still current and which has not been the subject of application to the WAPC under the Peel region scheme? (2) If yes to (1), is that proposed development also subject to approval by the WAPC under the PRS before it can proceed; and, if not, why not? Hon ADELE FARINA
