MIDLAND
HEALTH CAMPUS — RESTRICTED SERVICES CLINIC
287. Hon AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the restricted services
clinic at Midland Health Campus.
(1) Has a final decision to proceed
with this project been made by government?
(2) At what stage
is the tender process for the building and running of the medical and surgical
facility to provide the restricted services of sterilisations, termination of
pregnancies, and contraception?
(3) How many
applications or expressions of interest has the Department of Health received
to provide these services?
(4) Will the Minister for Health
provide the list of the tenderers?
(5) If no to (4), why not?

AnswerView source ↗

On behalf of the parliamentary
secretary representing the Minister for Health, I thank the member for some
notice of the question.
(1) Yes. The
government's preferred outcome is to have a private provider build and
operate a facility to provide these services on the eastern end of the Midland
Health Campus.
(2) The response to the expressions
of interest process closes on 25 March 2014.
(3) The EOI process is still open.
(4) No.
(5) The EOI
process and its evaluation process are not complete and the information is
considered commercial-in-confidence.
