(1) Yes.
(2) No.
(3) The SmartParker and Pay and Display ticketing machines are solar powered and would not function efficiently if covered. Parking machine transactions, particularly SmartParker, are quick and the construction of a shelter and hard wiring of power is not justified. In inclement weather, any passenger without an umbrella would get wet on the way to or from the parking machine.
(4) The number of SmartParker machines currently installed at Transperth stations is considered to be adequate. These machines will be closely monitored and if necessary additional machines will be installed.
