I refer to question on notice No. 1566, and ask: (a) what was the cost to install and cover the foundation bolts at the Currambine train station car park; and (b) when does the Public Transport Authority anticipate that vending machines will be installed at these sites?

(a) The installation of the Parking Vending Machine footings was part of the contract to extend the car parking facility at Currambine station by 250 bays. The individual cost is therefore difficult to estimate.
(b) The preliminary work to install more cash Parking Vending Machines preceded the decision to implement full paid parking. Given the advent of SmartParker, a much more efficient paid parking solution; there is no timeline to install cash Parking Vending Machines at Currambine station.
