some notice of the question.
Western Australia has not signed
the intergovernmental agreement, as the IGA does not resolve deficiencies in
the commonwealth's regulation of PFAS on commonwealth land, which
includes airport and defence sites in Western Australia. The state continues to
work with the commonwealth to resolve these issues and is open to signing the
IGA in the future. Western Australia continues to fully participate in the
commonwealth PFAS task force's engagement with states and territories
in relation to the IGA.
