I refer to question without notice No. 396 and your answer on 25 May 2011, and ask -
(1) With respect to part 2, why is the Minister not prepared to confirm or deny whether such advice was received from the Department of Transport?
(2) Does the Minister accept that providing a full and complete answer is part of being an open and accountable Government as Mr Barnett promised to the electorate?
(3) Will the Minister now advise what advice the Department of Transport gave the Government with respect to the privatisation of motor vehicle inspections?

(1) As stated in the previous answer, the decision to close O'Connor was based on the owners of the site deciding not to renew the lease.
(2) Unlike the previous Labor Government, full and complete answers are provided based on the quality of the question.
(3) There has not been any formal advice provided to the Government in relation to the privatisation of vehicle inspections.
