(1) Between 1 June to 31 August 2016, there were 1,146 child protection notifications in relation to suspected child sexual abuse in the following districts:
Armadale – 86;
Cannington – 39;
Crisis Care – 246;
East Kimberley – 32;
Fremantle – 54;
Goldfields – 39;
Great Southern – 47;
Joondalup – 64;
Midland – 52;
Mirrabooka – 60;
Murchison – 66;
Peel – 59;
Perth – 48;
Pilbara – 45;
Rockingham – 67;
South West – 77;
West Kimberley – 38, and
Wheatbelt – 27.
Of these notifications, 906 were from mandated referrers:
Doctor – 121;
Midwife – 4;
Nurse – 70;
Police officer – 364, and
Teacher or principal – 347.
(2) Between 1 June to 31 August 2016, there were 3,010 Safety and Wellbeing Assessments in the following districts:
Armadale – 171;
Cannington – 190;
Crisis Care – 154;
East Kimberley – 88;
Fremantle – 242;
Goldfields – 89;
Great Southern – 156;
Joondalup – 158;
Midland – 212;
Mirrabooka – 218;
Murchison – 200;
