I refer to the Minister’s decision to delete the Fremantle Eastern Bypass (FEB) from the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS), and the public submissions received after the initial closing date of March 12 2003, and by the extended closing date of April 7 2003. Can the Minister please advise -
(1) How many individual submissions were received by the WAPC after the initial closing date of March 12 2003 and by the extending closing date of April 7 2003?
(2) Of these, how many -
(a) were in favour of deleting the FEB from the MRS;
(b) opposed deleting the FEB from the MRS; and
(c) sought to attend hearings on the issue of the FEB deletion from the MRS?
(3) Of submissions received after the initial closing date of March 12 2003 and by the extending closing date of April 7 2003, have any community action groups sought to attend hearings on the issue of the FEB deletion from the MRS and what number of people do they claim to represent?
(4) How many petitions were received by the WAPC after the initial closing date of March 12 2003 and by the extending closing date of April 7 2003, and what was the total number of signatories on those petitions?
(5) Of these petitions, how many -
(a) were in favour of deleting the FEB from the MRS, and what was the total number of signatories on those petitions, and how many people did they represent; and

1. 5108 individual submissions were received in the period between the initial closing date of 12 March 2003 and the extended closing date of 7 April 2003. 2. Of the submissions received between the initial closing date of 12 March 2003 and the extended closing date 7 April 2003: a) 978 were in favour of deleting the FEB from the MRS; b) 4124 opposed deleting the FEB; and c) 301 sought to attend hearings on the issue of the FEB deletion. 3. Between the initial closing date of 12 March 2003 and the extended closing date 7 April 2003 a total of 5 action groups* sought to attend hearings, representing 85 people. [* An action group is defined in these statistics as any individual representing 10 or more submissions] 4.
