On page 645 of the 2003-04 Budget Papers, under the heading of “Major Achievements for 2002-03”, it is stated that the Statement of Planning Policy for Public Drinking Water Source Areas (SSP-PDWSA) has been finalised in partnership with the Department of Planning and Infrastructure (DPI), and is awaiting the Minister’s release. The Statement of Planning Policy for Drinking Water Resources is a policy of the Department of Planning Infrastructure, of which the Water and Rivers Commission had substantial input. The Policy was released in February2003 and is available on DPI’s web-site.
