I refer to ambulance service coverage in the Warren–Blackwood electorate, and I ask : (a) How many paid paramedics are currently stationed in the Warren–Blackwood region, and at which locations; (b) What is the closest location to Bridgetown and Manjimup where a full-time paid paramedic is currently based; (c) Has the Department of Health or WA Country Health Service received any formal correspondence or internal briefings in the last three years raising concerns about the strain on volunteer ambulance officers in the Warren–Blackwood electorate; (d) How many ambulance callouts in the Warren–Blackwood region were responded to by volunteers only, without paid paramedic support, in the years: (i) 2021–22; (ii) 2022–23; and (iii) 2023–24; (e) What is the Government's current policy position on expanding paid paramedic coverage in regional WA, specifically in high-demand zones like Warren–Blackwood; and (f) Has the Government received any recommendations or internal modelling on upgrading ambulance staffing levels in the South West: (i) If yes, could this be tabled?

(a)-(b) In the South-West region, inclusive of the electorate of Warren-Blackwood, St John Ambulance are contracted to provide a total of 41 paid and 8 community paramedics across the locations of Australind, Bunbury, Busselton, Collie, Harvey, Manjimup, Brunswick and Denmark.

(d) This data is not readily available to WA Health.
(e)-(f) The Department of Health and the WA Country Health Service routinely work with SJWA to review current service provision in rural and remote areas and identify priorities for service development. The Cook Government is committed to its election committment to boost paramedic services, providing more paid paramedics in Dawesville and Australind.
