(a) The Member seems unaware that the temporary Part 17 significant development pathway commenced in July 2020 and closed to applications on 29 December 2023. The part 11B significant development pathway became operational on 1 March 2024. Since 2020, 66 applications have been approved through these significant development pathways.
(b) It is important to note that projects are not limited to residential development applications and include a substantial number of commercial and other developments.
Of the approved residential projects, three have completed construction and a further 13 have commenced construction. Adding 834 dwellings, 80 aged care beds, and 1,534 student accommodation units.
