I refer to the Office of Inspector of Custodial Services' report into Greenough Regional Prison released in May 2025, and I ask : (a) When was the latest review undertaken at the prison; (b) Since the report was released, what recommendations from the report have been implemented for the prison; (c) What staff vacancies currently exist at the prison; (d) What is the current population of inmates at the prison; (e) What is the population capacity of inmates at the prison; and (f) Have the female prisoners returned to their purpose-built unit four: (i) If no, what work is being done to ensure the female prisoners can return to their purpose-built unit four?

The Department of Justice advises:
a) The Office of the Inspector of Custodial Services inspected the prison in July 2024 which informed the report released in May 2025.
b) The Department has implemented Recommendation 2 and all other supported recommendations are currently being progressed.
