(1) Responsibility for a noise management plan rests with the Shire of Busselton as the owner of the airport. The Shire of Busselton convened a workshop in 2003 to discuss the management of aircraft noise with a view to developing a noise management strategy. The Shire is currently progressing this issue. (a) N/A (b) The Shire is currently progressing this issue. (2) Responsibility for an airport management plan rests with the Shire of Busselton as the owner of the airport. There is no airport management plan in place for Busselton Airport. (a) N/A. (b) A consultant has been engaged by the Shire to investigate development of the airport, which may entail developing an airport management plan. (3) To date consultation on the development of a noise management strategy has involved local community members, Busselton Shire Councillors and the Busselton Aero Club who were involved in a workshop in April 2003. (a) This information is not available. (4) Approximately five (5) flights per day. (5) None. (6) Yes. The Shire of Busselton restricts flying training after 10pm at night. The Shire has developed draft flight training guidelines, however, to date the Council has not approved these guidelines. (7) Responsibility for noise management rests with the Shire of Busselton as the owner of the airport. Noise complaints should be referred to the Shire of Busselton. (8) Charges for use of the Busselton airport are set by the Shire of Busselton as the owner of the airport. Charges only apply to aircraft weighing more than two (2) tonnes. Questions relating to revenue figures should be referred to the Shire.
