(1) Yes, I have
commissioned an independent report. The report into the saleyards was
commissioned by the Western Australian Meat Industry Authority and undertaken
by Deloitte Access Economics. I announced the release of that report on 21
December 2017, and from that date, the report has been publicly available on
the WAMIA website. However, for the benefit of the member, I will table a copy
of the report and my media statement. The member may be interested to know that
we have had lots of positive feedback about the proposal to allow the saleyards
to stay where they are.
