JIGALONG
COMMUNITY — POWER INTERRUPTIONS
1432. Hon ROBIN CHAPPLE to the
minister representing the Minister for Housing:
I refer to question
on notice 1713 asked in the Legislative Council on Tuesday, 14 October 2014, in
which the minister advised that the aggregate number of power interruptions in
Jigalong equates to 1 140 minutes per annum.
(1) Would the minister advise what the
reliability experience is in similar-sized towns like Cue or Yalgoo?
(2) If no to (1),
why not?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
The Department of
Housing advises —

remote area essential services program, services the Aboriginal community of
Warburton. This community in the goldfields is similar in size—it has
about 750 people. The power interruptions in Warburton equate to about 960
minutes per annum.
(2) Not applicable.
