on 3 December 2013.
(1) Can the minister advise when she received a copy of the
draft 10-year mental health services plan?
(2) Has the minister received a copy of the final 10-year
mental health services plan?
(3) If no to
(2), what is the reason for the delay and when does the minister anticipate the
final report will be released?
(4) If yes to (2), will the minister now table a copy of the
10-year mental health services plan?

I note that this question was asked
on 20 August, so the response is relevant as at that date.
Hon Stephen Dawson : You haven't updated it.
Hon HELEN MORTON : If the member wants to put a new question,
he can do so, but this is the answer to the question that was available on 20 August.
I thank the member for some notice
of this question.
(1) I received
an updated draft copy of the Western Australian mental health, alcohol and
other drug 10-year service plan on Friday, 15 August 2014.
(2) No.
(3) The
development of the plan is a comprehensive process combining consultation,
research, evidence, best practice and use of some of the latest mental health
planning tools available. Work is being undertaken to refine the plan. The plan
will be released for public consultation, including with key stakeholder
groups, following consideration of the plan by the WA government.
(4) Not applicable.
I will just say that had the member asked that question
without notice it may have been a little different at that stage.
