FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES AUTHORITY (FESA) The Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) advise as follows: The Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) adopts payment terms for its vendors in accordance with the terms and conditions agreed to with the supplier. It must be noted that the Authority may encounter late remittance of payments to its vendors in two circumstances. In the first instance, payment would not have been effected in a timely manner where the Authority has received a vendor's invoice late due to circumstances outside our control. Secondly, where a purchase order has been issued by the Authority and the invoice is received and processed, payment may not be effected unless any exceptions to the order is finalised. This situation would occur where the quantity of goods/services ordered is less than that invoiced or where there is a price variation in excess of acceptable tolerance levels imposed. Amount Outstanding No. of Vendors (1) $1,510,183.69 466 (2) $441,469.35 35 (3-5) Nil Nil (6) $1,903,077.81 518 (7) $141,178.79 47 (8-10) Nil Nil THE WESTERN AUSTRALIA POLICE SERVICE The Western Australia Police Service advise as follows: The WA Police makes every effort to pay creditors within 30 days, however there are circumstances under which this is not possible. Examples, which are reflected in the figures provided below are: Late Billing Some creditors do not submit invoices for more than 30 days after the goods or services are supplied. The date recorded in the finance system is the date of the invoice (not the date the invoice is received) and therefore such invoices will appear as outstanding for more than 30 days even if they are paid on the day they are received. Accounts in dispute Accounts are not approved for payment until any dispute is resolved. (1) 2369 creditors totalling $4,789,397.53 (2) 217 creditors totalling $185,762.23 (3) 12 creditors totalling $6,249.08 (4) 7 creditors totalling $1,364.32 (5) 19 creditors totalling $7,888.94 (6) 3453 creditors totalling $2,661,993.43 (7) 418 creditors totalling $404,548.75 (8) 46 creditors totalling $6,922.72 (9) 26 creditors totalling $15,784.34 (10) 42 creditors totalling $17,729.57 The above statistics have been taken from the Accounts Payable module of the financial management information system. Amounts that are not included are those that remain in the clearing account awaiting confirmation of receipt of invoice.
