I
refer to the response provided by the Department of Health as part of the 2022–23
budget estimates hearings that references the median wait time of 15.1 months
for a child to access a paediatrician via the metropolitan Child Development
Service.

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
Currently, 5 944 children are on a waiting
list to see a paediatrician at the metropolitan Child Development Service, as
at 4 August, 2022. The total number of children currently being seen by a developmental
paediatrician in the Child Development Service is 15 245. During 2021–22,
a total of 32 982 children received services from the Child Development
Service.
