In relation to proposals for the futures of Ferndale, Kinlock and Lynwood Primary schools, I ask-
(1) Who currently has control of these school sites?
(2) What will happen to these sites if one or more schools is closed or relocated?
(3) Who will be making the final decision on the future of these schools, as the local community has stated many times in the recent past that it is against any of these schools being no longer retained as educational institutions?

2. The Department will assess the sites and determine if they are 'surplus' to needs. Demographic growth will be considered in the Department's analysis. If surplus to needs the Department will dispose of the site/sites in the usual manner. 3. The Minister for Education and Training will make the final decision on the future of these schools after considering all information and recommendation/s forwarded by the Department. Any decision will be made in the best educational interests of all children.
